Being part of the Mission has made a huge impact for us in the last 6 months. We’ve changed our company name, succeeded in gaining £800k grant funding and now have a working proof of concept energy storage battery. The mission opened many doors for us and connected us to the right people, including the National Research Energy Laboratories (NREL) who potentially will test our grid-connected battery. The peer to peer networking also led to business angel investment that is likely to be realised in the next few weeks. Finally, the support from TSB, DECC and the whole Clean and Cool team, was professional and tremendous fun.

Nick Kitchen, Cumulus Energy. C&C Colorado 2013
One of the most interesting things I have found talking to people is how all technologies are confronted with the same issues even if in a completely different field, and here (on the Mission) you have the opportunity to understand solutions that other people have come up with and develop them in your own field and that is a really fascinating lesson because no one can teach you that.

Chris Smith, G-Volution. C&C 2012
I think the surprising element of the mission has been the passion and the genuine nature of everybody on this team who wants to see all the entrepreneurs they have chosen succeed
